THE POINT OF VIEW OF STUDENTS
You did not sleep last night because of the immeasurable amount of homework that you had, and now the bell has rung and you have sat down ready to listen to your teacher talk for minutes that feel like hours. Time seems like it is not moving but you try to focus, because the things that your teacher is saying are important for the quiz. Your eyes start to feel heavy and you try to keep them open, but it is nearly impossible. You start to whisper to your friend to see if that will keep you awake, but the teacher tells you to stop. You start feeling drowsy and really tired so you start to close your eyes, when the teacher calls your name out. This is a situation that many students at ASFM have experienced, including myself, because after a long time of seeing and hearing a lesson, as students we tend to get distracted and we don’t pay attention after all. Therefore, teachers at ASFM should collaborate with students and implement technology, projects and activities in order to develop more interactive lessons which will meet the needs and attention spans of the average teens.
